NAM actually shows some significant snowfall from the front end thump for central NC, ratios will likely be less than 10:1 and not all snow will stick to the ground but some areas may be able to pick up a dusting before the changeover. By early afternoon, the warm nose should creep northward and much of the region should change over to rain.

I tell you what, I think we will get a good front end thump. Probably won’t stick much but that back end? Models have that lasting 6-8 hours here and it is a legit heavy snow. I would not be surprised with a 1-3” type scenario in the upstate and push eastward.
