Wintry January 29th-30th ARCC Slam Dunk Winter Weather Threat

I agree with Shawn, that map is way over done. There's not going to be a wide swath of 2-5" of snow, there's no way. The snow will not be coming from a low from the GOM.
Didn't you say that kinda the same thing about the threat from the 2017 December threat? Your call was for like a half inch for Atlanta?
 
I agree this will be a good storm for many on the board, questionable areas continues to be east of the apps, only thing that could throw more accumulation are way is more mesoscale factors, if we get Frontogenesis like the NAM is showing there will be a heavy burst somewhere east of the apps due to column cooling and don’t forget that lee trough/enhancement but I’m keeping expectations low, areas west should be happy, y’all really deserve this ! At this point 1 inch of snow is a big win
