Yeah but it even shows rain on the backside of the heavier banding. I find it rather wonky myself. IMO, this event will end as light snow, not light rain.

The ECMWF maps I currently have access to are 6 hour frames instead of the better 3 hour frames. I would expect light drizzle turning to freezing drizzle after the heavier precipitation has moved through.
