Looking at the heavy band at 9z and then 12z, do y’all believe it shifts south that quickly?
That would be on Souterly/ Southeasterly winds, and warmer temps! It’s rain in the mountains early on!
NAM 3km looks a bit drier through 35 hours.

Definitely a wetter but warmer run for those on the southern end and those east of the mountains. The cold air just doesn’t get out in front of the precip which often happens east of the mountains.

How much stock should one put in the 3k NAM?

The 3k nam has a dry bias until about 24 hours in. I’ll be interested in it more tomorrow.

Well, you can see it has problems. It doesn't even show a trace of snow for the NC mountains. I call BS...
