And this snow in Nashville will stick around until at least Saturday afternoon. It's nice to have a snow that doesn't melt a few hours later.

Congrats to those in Tennessee. Nashville is getting smoked some of the heaviest returns of the day moving through now . What a storm for them

As impressive as it seems, this might only barely crack the top 20 list for Nashville.
It would be the biggest storn in 5 years though.

FWIW, that would be the largest snowfall in a single day, not the largest snowstorm (1968 is the 10th largest snowstorm).
It seems like BNA has gotten screwed on winter storms over the last decade, so it’s good to see a big one hit there!!

Yea last storm had a much better track for those parts.
looks like some rocky mountain powderWe are getting crushed with high ratio snowfall. I had 5" before this last round started. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up 6-7" by the Nashville zoo.

Finally down to freezing here but moisture is long gone for the most part. Black ice may be an issue tonight. Half inch of rain fell this morning.

Yea, we busted low for highs yesterday but ten busted way high for lows last night. Then today has been too much sun early. ? RAP soundings look ok above the surface but the surface is to cool vs reality. On the other hand dews are to warm on the sounding so we may cool pretty fast?
The 15z rap sounding had .59 total with the last half looking snowy except still maybe a tad warm at the surface. HRRR say we may get a flizzard at the very end. We'll see.
