Looks like snow, for now...

But you can see the strong southerly wind at about 850 mb, so that layer will quickly warm over the next several hours. Northeast winds at the surface will continue to supply cold air. Saturation looks good throughout the column, other than surface for now. Forecast looks good for a few hours of sleet followed by several hours of freezing rain/freezing drizzle.

Here at the coast, we are already above freezing at 850 mb. We did just have some precip reach the surface as freezing rain. Still holding onto northerly winds so any precip we get over the next few hours would be freezing rain and could cause some minor issues. But radar looks pretty sparse downstream. Winds will switch soon and we will rise above freezing overnight with little to no impacts.

I don't like the reports of mostly rain over the upstate. We were hoping to start as sleet. I haven't looked at mesoscale but obviously we haven't cooled enough for sleet or the warm nose is already too warm. If everything we get is zr we are going to get slammed.
925’s are very cold but the warm nose and WAA is going to be deeper and warmer which is what I tried to say multiple times the last couple of days.

About 5 miles south of the airport and I have a 75/25 IP/ZR mix.
