I'd love to.see a few flakes at onset

Do any Mississippi observers have some photos of the sleet out that way? Seeing reports of 1-2 inches of sleet in NW MS which is just bonkers to think about how much precip that would take.
I remember us getting some 4 INCHES of sleet here in Atlanta Metro in Feb 1979... Was insane with what the roads were like as they could not be "scraped" to clear and as melting started had large "potholes" plus would refreeze at dark to areas of glare ice

Here in extreme southeast Bartow County, Georgia (about 1 mile to the Cherokee border, and about 2 miles from the Cobb County border), and our temp has dropped 3 degrees in the last 2 hours. Currently sitting at 43 degrees with a 23 dew point and *cold* wind from the east at about 10mph. No precipitation yet, but radar looks like it’s heading our way. Should start off as a cold rain/drizzle - wonder when/if we will get below freezing?

Once precipitation starts up in earnest, you should get close to your wet bulb temp (around 35? I imagine?). Then you it would probably take three hours to get below freezing, I think your area starts freezing rain around midnight.

32 here

41/19 (~30 wb) in Cumming, hasn't changed much all day. I guess it won't change much until precip arrives.

FWIW, that's a bit warmer than the hourly temps @ NWS forecast. Hourly grid had us at 37/24 (27.5 wb). Dunno how much it matters
