Got another dusting in Boone overnight. Currently 28 degrees. Hopefully the cold can follow me eastward.

Temp on top of Beech has dropped 10 since midnight, foothills finally faling back in upper 30s past hour. Triad east stuck at 40. So colder air is finally getting past mtns. Hopefully it can get on the move east. Good to see some of yall scoring!
Good news for me is the half inch of rain washed all the Brime off the road and the ole family car want be a catch basin going to an from church today.

You can hear rain dripping from the house as the snow is falling lol. This is some pretty heavy snow.

I keep going out on my porch hoping to see the first snowflake. It's still 37 here according to wunderground.

Radar indicates a heavy area of precip is aimed for just S of Macon (Warner Robbins southward) and then just E of Macon (Jeffersonville east). Macon will be near NW border of this heavy precip. it appears.

30 min ago it was plain rain and now heavy snow with a dusting.

Moderate snow is falling here in Reynolds,GA, which is about 8-10 miles west of Fort Valley.

Here in the Triad, we have snow the last two years North, East. South (twice), West of us the past couple of years so maybe the I-40/I-85 area is no longer the most likely place in the SE (outside of the mountains of course). Most likely though, Climo will reassert itself sometime in the future and all will be well! Seriously, congrats to the people who managed to get some accumulating Sn from this, you deserve it!!!!

Probably rate dependent..a few drops have mixed back in even though its now 33.6 but now its back to all snow. . Athens reported snow but now its unknown precip. has reported snow for a while now. Some weird things happen above our heads here, im convinced of that. Weird stuff on temps too..im 33.6 and Athens is 36..you can see the colder temps on underground.

Did not expect to wake up and see WSW were expanded into Florida. I'd imagine most areas won't even hit 2", but that is some heavy echoes moving through the Panhandle

I’m very encouraged with the radar this morning. Definitely didn’t expect this much activity so the west. Looks like the real good stuff and the flip to snow around 10:00 here and potentially keep snow around until around 3:00. I’m ready!

I hope this verifies. I live in west Morgan county, GA which is barely inside the darkest color. I woke up at 6am with no snow then went to bed again. Got back up at 7:30 and we already had a good dusting and it is still moderately snowing with temp of 31.

Where in Athens are you? I'm on the west side and have seen zero snowflakes
