Misc Jalapeño July

Starting the thread with this and we'll see where it goes ...
Bad analogy for summertime (unless you're into Canadian Football), but it's time for the 1st quarter kickoff ...

Well, Julypeño does have a bit better of a sound to it... lol. If someone else agrees, then it will be changed. As far as July goes, I feel the pattern is going to go bad, and we will get a heatwave, but not a JHS 140 degree one with no rain. I think we will get a decent amount of rain too, but I doubt we will see tons of rain again like we did this month, with areas getting more than 10" in June.

Whatever works - so long as the posting is not disgruntled ...
Now - back to work and we'll catch y'all in a day or two.
Phil
PS - If it's changed, please also update Wiki ... ;)

Nice thread opened here. If we in fact do get a heat wave this month, than thats ok due to the "Coolness" we been getting. Next month is a great month for me because of fall peeking around corner.

I think we might see some decent warmth around and after the 4th

That's the story every year. I don't remember a cool July 4th.

Looks pretty toasty to me for much of Georgia and the Carolinas if I'm reading the map correctly ?

Toasty? it's showing at or below normal except for North Carolina. Keep in mind this is WAY out there and it will likely change

My apologies. I thought the yellow colors in North GA and the Carolinas indicated above normal temps.

Yes the one showing That in Georgia is coming off of the warmup next week. They do show a little above normal but the moral of the story is no big heat wave as we head into mid July with the possibility of below normal for many

It's quite hilarious, but I promise you, within a few miles, the lightest blue dots, over the whole eastern seaboard , are over me and Shetley! You can't make this stuff up! :(

There'll be more runs tonight and tomorrow and things'll change ... now whichaway ... o_O

There's a closed 594 ridge over the southeast on the Euro at day 10. We may finally be headed towards 100 by then over much of the area. if that's right.

Obviously wayyyyyy out there, and not the "best" source to rely on (but at 4 weeks, it's about all we have going), yet at this point in time, all other things being equal, it does not look too bad projected over the 4 week stretch of July ...
