If you look towards the palm tree to the left you can see the water rising steadily. It looks like it’s risen about 3-4 feet just in the last 15 minutes

Agree on the rise, was focused on the X beam under tree which is now almost underwater. That tree is resilient.

looks like they may be in a moat then actual eyewall soon.

James Spann just shared video from Grand Isle and if my eyes serve me correctly it resembled a human floating in the water.

I just looked at it. It was definitely a person. I’m not sure they were floating. It looked like they were wading through the water…hopefully to get up some steps. Definitely praying for whoever that was.

The last recon extrapolated 930.8 mb pressure makes Ida about 11 mb stronger than the 942 mb of Betsy of 1965 in about the same location on a similar trajectory.
