I can't confirm but I've been watching the eye contract all morning on the radar so I wouldn't doubt there's lower pressure to be found.

UPDATE - 145 MPH
I can't believe I forgot this.....16 years ago TODAY Katrina made landfall...damn....I knew the year and knew we were close, but didn't realize it was August 29th......
never mind....lol 145mph now

I think the NOAA plane is flying back into it. It is still out there.
We have NOAA in there now and looking like AF is decending toward that area now.

Thank god I am off work on Sunday...The all nighters are not as easy and then work the next day as they used to be..haha

Man you seeing the eye on vis it's clearing out quick. Big round eye.

it has...been tracking it more with radar at this point, but sat images look very impressive.

I was using the flightradar24 app or website. But it lost contact with both planes.
I fear this NNW jog is more of a heading than a jog. Severe impacts to Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard Parishes are becoming more likely by the hour.
Wha my once was a wobbly eye has now stopped and become fully circular and warmed significantly .. last few frames really cleared out
