Ian isnt providing moderate or heavy rain, but there has been a steady light rain, enough to saturate the ground. Less than a good summer thunderstorm, but less runoff as well. Maybe .75 of an inch thus far. Great job Ian!!

There’s about a 25 degree difference right now between Roxboro and the coast, I’ve been stuck around 65 for a couple hours, I do think the worst is yet to come for central NC regarding wind. Our best gusts were around 1-130 when the sky’s lightened up, and we had some mixing.

I've received 2.11 inches of rain at my location. The rainfall rates are not as heavy as they were this morning but there has been a steady rain over us for a while now. The wind is picking up and this may be my last post for some time. The power goes out frequently here with storms of any kind and it did go out just recently for around thirty seconds or so. I know winds are gusting over thirty miles per hour now and expect to get into some of the higher gusts in around a hour or so.

Heaviest rains that I’ve seen so far, I woke up late due to having work tonight. The gusts were pretty decent too before this soaking rain moved in. Waiting to see what happens around 7-9. Figured we would see some lightning too but I guess not for now.
