I know everyone on here gets really invested with the weather but it really is amazing how happy this 1” of snow and watching it come down in the streetlight makes me. Pretty cool hobby we have.
Yep I tell everyone that will listen the same thing. The first ones are coming off lease now and available at a steal.
It took me like a month and a half. That was a bad thing since it messed up my expectations!
Good to see Raleigh weenies getting the snow despite the late onset.
I see you ain’t been to Huntsville in a while.
If this verifies I sincerely apologize for my performance today. It's been a while since I was on the big league roster

Moyock is Moyockin' yall. Drifts up to my thighs (I'm 6'), still ripping out there, freezing cold, 40 mph gusts, and the radar looks healthy. I was legit depressed at 9 this morning looking at the models and trends. . NOW I CAN'T SLEEP!

Looks like Greg Fishel hit the nail on the head with both timing and totals by focusing on synoptics instead of being wedded to model output. He’s still got it and runs circles around anyone still on broadcast TV in the Triangle market.

Some of us handled it better than others.
Obviously this didn't turn into the big dog I was hoping for, but this late rally has salvaged it from being December 2000 level bad for Raleigh. We'll probably finish with around 2.5-3".
Has been snowing for 21hrs!! Coming down pretty good! But our friends down east are getting completely hammered right now!!!

Or just taking in the peace and quiet of fresh snowfall at night. Which I see you’re in NC. and if you got snow. Go do that.
Seriously. I’m in Atlanta area. We didn’t get jack. But did last year. And that night after the decent snow we got. I went outside at night. And just took it in. Very memorable and cool moment. Highly recommend. Ya don’t get many chances to in the south.

Just the RDU crew crashed and slowly burned all afternoon. They looked outside tonight and they're finally getting some flakes so they're in semi-recovery mode now. But some may be permanently scarred from the experience.

This has got to be one of the longest stretches on record here just to have it around in the shade and piles. Like this is up there with February 2021 here to me

Yup, in isolation it’s a pretty damn good storm. It’s just frustrating being in between folks who got so much more and knowing what potential it had to be a truly big dog for us, but such is life, I suppose. Actually ended with 4.5” here, so I had it better than a lot of Wake County did. I hope @KyloG finally got some decent snow.
I had to look it up and even online there wasn't a definition

3 inches in Raleigh. Meh. Pretty minor event here for a setup like this. I doubt it happens anytime soon here
