35/20 and no precip in Cumming. The NWS hourlies had frzr already starting by now with a temp of 31. So maybe it means the totals (~0.7") will be lower now
I’m going to go straight @KyloG all week and use every model output that says we arent getting anything, no matter how wrong I am…then I’m going to claim victory before the event starts….It’s going to change next weekend!
If that wedge is stronger than modeled it may just choke off some moisture which would cut into ice totals
That CAD gonna eat away at that Precip. If rates are light it's gonna have a hard time making it to the surface
But as strong as this CAD is if Rates are Lighter, It's just gonna eat away at it
They picking up on the CAD being so Strong that the CAD is Eating away at the moisture
I think they underestimated the strength of the CAD
At this rate I would be surprised if upstate sees over .25" of ice. It's gonna have to prove it to me With the CAD as strong as it is.
Just watch and see what happens. That's my takeGood evening! I was wondering about your take about the strength of the CAD? What effect do you think it will have on QPF totals? Thanks in advance.
Their odds were easy. Everything goes north. Didn’t take a genius.Watching BAMwx video right now and they’re so proud lol

I ran by Costco this evening around 6 and they had bread AND it was a ghost town.I’m at Wegmans tonight and they actually have bread!!!!You just have to go during the storm, I guess!
Bang bangWhy does it seem like it’s always snowing in Little Rock Arkansas
We can’t tonight because most of us are at the AMS conferenceAnybody at NCSU know if they still do balloon launches? It would definitely be useful tonight.
You mentioned FOX 5. I just miss the days of Ken Cook from fox 5 and Glenn Burns at wsb. There is no one currently at any of the atl stations that can compare to those two.FOX 5 showed the main line tomorrow moving in with temps freezing even in ATL. whoa!
I didn't realize how few people who live in the ATL now have never experienced a CAD event. I'm getting old.
For the metro its been about a decade I believe. @GaWx usually has the history statsWas gonna say I mean I've been busy here but I still have family and friends over there and I've been talking occasionally the last few days about the times it would reach us growing up in east Alabama even haha
Has it been really been that long ago...
your name is thrasher fan. there is like 30 people in Atlanta who knows what a thrasher isI didn't realize how few people who live in the ATL now have never experienced a CAD event. I'm getting old.
