They do know the climate is always changing and always has.We don't fully understand our climate we only have a little over a hundred plus years of weather data. We learn more every year with more data so anything is possible.
Gotta be overdone… right?----
double ---- didnt realize this was the storm thread. Sorry
I dont know anymore man. There is a part of me that thinks we are heading right into a top 5 or even top 3 worst natural disaster we have ever seen but another part says you know this is going to be fragmented with sleet and rain.Gotta be overdone… right?
Learn more every year with more weather data yet still can't get the weather right! Yeah makes senseWe don't fully understand our climate we only have a little over a hundred plus years of weather data. We learn more every year with more data so anything is possible.
It’s a big ask to get someone to predict such an event. I think I’ll be more convinced once the models hold serve overnight and tomorrowI dont know anymore man. There was glazing after the snow last year, I don’t believe that was CAD related.1994 is the only one I can think of.
My job sucks. I have to actually do work. Hate itHey @griteater, haven’t heard from you I a while. What are your thoughts on our impending storm?
Well , the way they hype this new AI, forecast accuracy should go through the roof within a few years from now. If not within a couple of years from now.Learn more every year with more weather data yet still can't get the weather right! Yeah makes sense
Yeah I'm sure it willWell , the way they hype this new AI, forecast accuracy should go through the roof within a few years from now. If not within a couple of years from now.

I don't even think I've realized yet how historic this storm is gonna be here
Like even here we don't get storms with this much moisture this time of year
The snowiest January ever had 12.7 and it snowed like 10 days that month haha

Someone tell me cause I wanna know. Just how close was this to being a foot of snow for upstate sc? It looked promising the other day. And what one thing ruined it for us?
It still may be who knows? Models aren't always rightSomeone tell me cause I wanna know. Just how close was this to being a foot of snow for upstate sc? It looked promising the other day. And what one thing ruined it for us?
this looks decent to me. An inch of sleet already from upstate to clt to Greensboro. And still falling through the end of the run
Has anyone ever seen the FV3 be right on anything? I feel like it's always way off.
