The temps in the teens in NC and low 20s into Georgia were just never going to happen. Mid 20s and around 30 down close to the Atl metro area are more in line with history. We will see what happens.
I looked. The JMA isn't too shabby at all.Dont look, they may end up having a hurricane off the coast, lol
Thats still rain and the trends just keep getting warmer. Freezing rain isnt anything anyone should want. No power, no snow, and freeze your butt off, lolYou sure? looks like zr to me

I did the same thing. I suppose I should close one of the tabs.I almost deleted your post too
The dumpster. They got their data from the trash canJust saw 4-6 inches of snow in ATL for Saturday night Sunday early AM on my MSN feed. Not sure where they're getting their info.
Same. It seems like it stays pretty much the same for north central GA as far as freezing rain is concerned but everyone in NC is upset because their snow totals disappeared. Let's see what the flight data gives us the next couple of days before we decide nothing but rain will happen. You sure? looks like zr to me

Watch the data be worse lolWe're going to look pretty silly when the EURO assimilates data from that Kamchatka weather balloon in time for 00Z.
Either that or the people calling this an historic NC storm will be looking silly. We're going to look pretty silly when the EURO assimilates data from that Kamchatka weather balloon in time for 00Z.
I can promise you with 1.5 to 2.0 qpf and temps at the surface in the low to mid 20s. It will be historic, unfortunately dec 2002 style perhaps or maybe just 5 to 6 inches of sleet. But its gotta wash out alot more than what the euro just spit out,to call it a day in the park nothinburger this side of the state.Either that or the people calling this an historic NC storm will be looking silly.
Ain’t nobody scare of me. They just keep posting.Everyone’s scared of @packfan98

Well, it is going to rain. At least down here. It'll just freeze on everything upon contactI'm sorry, I thought I was in the Banter thread. That was my bad. It's not going to rain....I was just bantering.

All hell just got broke loose over one bad Euro run.Just got home. What did I miss?
Maybe where you are, but this is trending warmerYep, high teens at times
Seems likelyI expect the North trend to accelerate based on the players finally getting on the field out West. Cold rain south of Virginia, NC mountains excepted.
And of course that wont get here till the rain stops.
I could be wrong but is it normal to do all these recon flights for winter storms? It’s almost like our models suck and are not getting any updates and this is what we are resorting to.
I was in Aiken for the I20 special on 2/12/10. Fat flakes start to finish. Best snow I have ever witnessed. 8.5 inches I think.Have been following these forums off and on for a number of years, and more so recently. Never posted, but am this evening because I am highly discouraged. Basically live in Augusta, but just over border in SC. I am 32 years old, and never in my entire life seen something like 6 inches of snow (only once). Augusta will just never be the place. The only impactful storm in my life (aside from Helene) was the 2014 catastrophic ice storm. Other than that...notta. What will it take to get the big one here near Augusta? It's exhausting. But it's the weather. Looking for some kinda hope tonight! Y'all have a good evening!
in a good way or bad away? We're going to look pretty silly when the EURO assimilates data from that Kamchatka weather balloon in time for 00Z.
