GFS 18z trending warmer in the ATL. I think we are going to trend our way out of freezing rain and in to 45 and rain. Bring it GFS!
Just ordered supplies (propane heater, power bank, torches, etc etc) 5 minutes ago so it makes sense this GFS is coming in warmer.
Well we tried. Going to be ice storm city for everybody I guess. Good job BAM. They saw this coming, as we all should have. Need suppression to Venezuela 24 hours out to have at least a chance to get snow around here.
Mess around here and ATL might escape this one with a cold rain. I can see the HP becoming more weaker in the coming days.

Agree the low level cold will be frigid. Upper levels are in jeopardy

I mean, if we believe the EPS mean/Euro are the closest solutions to what we believe may verify, I still think ice is on the table for Atlanta... Just means our chance of any snow or sleet is evaporating fast.

I already miss 6 hours ago when I first saw the 12z GFS
I mean it still shows atl area at 26-27 degrees with moderate to heavy rain.

We all knew the snow was BS in GA on the GFS, wish I never even looked at it. The models that matter have been saying ice storm all long here. Was really hoping to see over a foot of snow like it was painting but instead we will be blessed by ice (or cold rain depending on if the wedge trends weaker, which wouldn't be bad at this juncture).

I think most of us knew this was always the case in our area. Its super hard to get all snow around us. Its usually a mixed bag of all 3.
