Misc General Banter Thread

We all knew the snow was BS in GA on the GFS, wish I never even looked at it. The models that matter have been saying ice storm all long here. Was really hoping to see over a foot of snow like it was painting but instead we will be blessed by ice (or cold rain depending on if the wedge trends weaker, which wouldn't be bad at this juncture).
At this point, you want that wedge to be as strong as possible to keep the lower levels below the freezing layer as deep as possible and hope for sleet.

Well yeah and at least for our area the sleet typically wins out over freezing rain

For sure, who knows where this is headed. It does seem that we will see some type of wintry weather though, unless this thing falls way off, but most mets seem to think that won't happen but who knows.

Skies are gonna need months to heal after this weekends rain!

1 inch of sleet is roughly equivalent to 2-4 in of snow, but it's often considered more like a 1:1 ratio (1 inch sleet = 1 inch liquid), meaning it's denser and has less air than snow, with some sources suggesting 1 inch of sleet is like 1-2 inches of snow or even 3-4 inches of snow for the same water content.
