But this is banter! The forum would be like thisCan we please not melt down when/if future runs aren't showing once per quarter to half century events for your backyard. Thanks

Ummm, I would hope you wouldn’t.Can I start an argument in the main thread about whether or not southeast wake county got a trace of sleet in 2014?
My expectations are now 15-20". I simply cannot be satisfied with 3-6" and I will melt down if I get that. If it ain't double digits, I don't want it!!!!!!Can we please not melt down when/if future runs aren't showing once per quarter to half century events for your backyard. Thanks
Elizabeth. I'm coming to join you. I'm bringing a foot and a half of snow with me.
Maybe even roofs collapsed.I got chills throughout my body looking at the Euro Freezing rain map! Lights out and trees are down!
Let's pray for a less amped storm and just give me rain.Maybe even roofs collapsed.
OkLet's pray for a less amped storm and just give me rain.
I have never seen a map that ominous for such a large area. Really hope it can at least be more sleet for most areas in the higher range of ice accumulation.I got chills throughout my body looking at the Euro Freezing rain map! Lights out and trees are down!
You want all that ice?
given there would be widespread destruction in the area of freezing rain, i wouldn't mind. Can we please not melt down when/if future runs aren't showing once per quarter to half century events for your backyard. Thanks
You want all that ice?![]()

I think January 2011 had a week lead time with most models but this is the biggest signal I have ever witnessed.I don't think I have ever seen agreement like this for a huge winter storm here.
Hope everyone in SC north of Columbia has really good generators. That's lights out of that verifies.

The good news is that I think the models tend to overdo the ZR and underdo the IP in such setups. I’d personally expect more sleet compared to freezing rain than the verbatim maps show. Plus, of course, 1” ZR liquid doesn’t translate to 1” of accrual.Just knowing how models handle CAD, we need to pray for deeper cold to get sleet.
