Buddy I'm riding the lightning expect 0 post pictures if it's more than 0I’m pulling for all in the storm thread but I would have gone into cardiac arrest multiple times if I was in the Carolina’s seeing the back and forth on these short range models. Ain’t nothing ever easy with snow!![]()

Major props….you’ve been next level for this rain event.

This event is stupid. I want to track real winter storms. Late January should be fun
I’d gladly take no inches just to see snow fall.Seriously all this hype and I'll be surprised if anyone really gets more than an inch or two haha
I really hope the models are right about the end of the month
This has been one of the more frustrating systems to see unfold. This event is stupid. I want to track real winter storms. Late January should be fun
Exhausted too. But remember. We do this to ourselves. This has been one of the more frustrating systems to see unfold.
I'm exhausted.
I saw the 27-28th blip. 2+ weeks outI’m on the northern edge of all the heaviest totals in Georgia just north of Macon. Setting my alarm at 5 am to try and catch the transition if and when it happens. Been a wild week but I hope it’s all worth it tomorrow
Me too but I obsess with the details like im sure many do and its exhausting after its over. I suppose its a good thing it doesn't happen all the time or I would be a wreck.I enjoy storms with unusual setups and tough forecasts like this the most as it makes for the most interesting discussions. The models having their flaws and weaknesses makes it so challenging. If they didn’t, the discussions would be kind of boring.
Also, I especially enjoy those that threaten rarely hit areas.
Clearly this game (that I never really had a chance of winning) is over. May all y’all, still living in hope, get that moisture!Generally it's also good to moisten the bulb right before the front arrives, especially when you may only have a few hours before the next wave of moisture starts trying to make your own push. Absolutely right about having to saturate that one too. Although DGZ is way better and T/D spreads in general is way better than I personally expected, so I am definitely keeping an eye on things going forward.

The almighty time traveler has spoken. It shall be.Our late Jan storm is GONE on the 0z GFS. Means we have to wait until February, and we all know how that works. On to 2026-27.
More than likely, the only chance of experiencing a real winter storm again in any of our lifetimes is to move. Our late Jan storm is GONE on the 0z GFS. Means we have to wait until February, and we all know how that works. On to 2026-27.
Yeah, global warming has ended winter weather for the most part outside of the mountains. Within 10 years just getting a freeze will be like getting snow now.More than likely, the only chance of experiencing a real winter storm again in any of our lifetimes is to move.
You’re going to bail on a run of…. The GFS?Our late Jan storm is GONE on the 0z GFS. Means we have to wait until February, and we all know how that works. On to 2026-27.
I mean, even as it stands right now, I would be dancing in the street if I got 1/4” of snow. I can’t imagine how bad it will be in 10 years.Yeah, global warming has ended winter weather for the most part outside of the mountains. Within 10 years just getting a freeze will be like getting snow now.
This is totally a Georgia lottery scratch off! Better than DISCO PIG!I fed Chat some prompts and this is the map it made. This is not at all what I told it to dobut we hug. Edit: omg look where it put Macon
Edit: and Augusta
Edit: oh my god look where everything is atView attachment 184848
It tried again and left everything the same except it randomly added a city named Georgia right on the Florida Georgia lineThis is totally a Georgia lottery scratch off! Better than DISCO PIG!

Is this the only thread you can post in, too?Well, the GFS AI just took next week's rain event away and shows not another drop for many of us after tonight and tomorrow. This is playing out just like 1986 which means we are in for a historical ride this spring and summer. Say hello to California stuff like severe restrictions on water and rolling blackouts.
When does the GFS not suck. To limit my burn out and exhaustion, if the euro doesn’t show it, I’m not getting my hopes up.The 0z GFS sucks. Toss

1986 is definitely a concern. But it’s high order and non-linear…. Or hell… it’s just flat out, chaos. And chaos is hard.Well, the GFS AI just took next week's rain event away and shows not another drop for many of us after tonight and tomorrow. My thoughts this evening. They can be summed up as “this would have been a sick band of snow”.
Agreed, this is a worthless trash storm that IMO hasn't been fun to track for four days now. This event is stupid. I want to track real winter storms. Late January should be fun
You in the wrong hobby then. Anything is fun to track down hereAgreed, this is a worthless trash storm that IMO hasn't been fun to track for four days now.
