Misc General Banter Thread

I don’t even know what city in Georgia to say congrats to

Tbh if the Kuchera map verifies, which is the smart one to go with with questionable temps, I'd have to look it up myself and I'm doing this while I post this...

I mean is Valdosta in the 2" on the Kuchera lmao?

With the area I'm more familiar with in south GA, there is tons of nothing. Like if I get the notion to actually chase...and it's going to require me needing to get going earlier than I'd probably like, I might head towards Sylvania and that's a very small town (and just going off what Goofus had).

The good thing, if you're inclined to chase, is that the roads will be good. Silly, I know, but if snow doesn't fall on my deck, it's just not the same.

🏳️ I can’t wishcast any longer on this bull crap weekend storm. At least drizzle snizzle will see some snow! 🏳️

I am mentally spent and need to step away for a bit

So, I have a funny short story for y'all from work this morning. For a little background first, this is an old building (it's the hospital I was born at in the 90's!), so the door failure isn't a surprise, and as we know, I said that it got into the upper teens/low 20's in the area.

When I got to work, I was notified by a student who attends the technical college that has part of its campus where I work at that the door I was going to use is not working. Since my legs were getting colder quickly, I turned around and went to the closest other option for me to get in the building.

I got in and my coworker asked me if whether I had used this side door. I said no, I was told that the sliding door was not working by a student.

Well, come to find out, that sliding door was WIDE open when she and one of the ladies from another group came in early. It was "shocking" because there is security overnight. They had fallen down on the job and there was FROST on the inside of the window. They were looking at each other and were like "you know how long it takes frost to form?!?! (hours)" Unsafe for a hospital for sliding doors to be wide open, but also a bad thing for the people that have to work on that floor and go to school.

NOAA is flying another plane today? That seems strange for what looks like, at best, a run-of-the-mill winter storm.
I would imagine that the pilots and crew need reps. I am sure training missions happen all the time and we aren't made aware of it. This is a nice chance to get some reps in and provide data for a historic storm. Southern snow is rare and we need all the data we can get.
