HRRR looks a little NW.
That ULL sure looks stronger on water vapor imagery.
Look at that moisture pooling in the Gulf.
Is anything reaching the ground under those 20dBZ returns in back Alabama?

1. I found only 2 at Americus although that could be incomplete. I’m wondering about Feb of 1958, for example.

2. Macon had more but not numerous as they had 9 the prior 70 years.

That’s why I’ll believe it when I see it. Even though that’s Kuchera and even if the Euro ends up right, I think getting 1”+ would be quite hard considering the mild temps just before/cold chasing moisture kind of deal.

That goal post is what we(who worshiped the NAM) are required to sit on.
