OPI (Overnight Posting Index) has gone positive with 3 pages overnight. This is a telltale sign a snowy and cold pattern is just on the horizon. Most reliable index there is. book it.

You'll get snow every year, although their long term avg. went from 35 to 26 from the 1981-2010 to 1991-2020 30 year normals.
When’s the last time any of you guys have seen a favorable pattern trend say 10-14 days out stay favorable and or trend even better all the way up till that timeframe? Just curious if it ever happens cause all I can remember recently is back and forth until about 5-7 days out.

I feel like last year it just trended perfect all January. Maybe that’s why the models outputs just haven’t impressed me this year. I know some people didn’t get snow even though it was the coldest January since the 80’s but for me it went about as good as it could. The January coastal storm trended to the south but I ended up with an inch and a half of powder.
It will happen once the -EPO regime is sniffed out. I think. Maybe

Depends on what kind of leg your kicker has.
I have to say it’s amazing how things can change for the worse so quickly in here. But they never change for the best quickly. If something does start to look good it drags on for days until it finally looks promising.

Yea if the pattern change isn’t even shown on modeling it loses can kick status and goes straight to shut the blinds and fab February will save us

GFS says "remember Feb 2021? I do! Let's do that again. Snow and freezing temps down to the Mexico border in Texas. Warm and dry in NC, some good rains back at the stalled arctic front. In the voodoo range but why not?
