The problem is everything to our west isn’t moving east. It will pivot south of us soon and completely miss. This is so sick but so funny. You can’t draw this up any better or worse.

With the exception of 2018, it's been a brutal decade for snow in the Raleigh area. That includes a year where no snow fell at all (2019) and a nearly 1000 day drought of measurable snow from 2022-25. We've had a few minor events during that time but nothing more than 2.5" or so.
I picked 1.7” and that was to high. I have a chance to win.Time to go back and see who predicted Raleigh would bust in the Snowfall contest thread. They're basically gonna be the winner.
Nah dog snows here by the foot every winter

I mean if the coastal does some work and puts down 2 inches or so, you'll get a bit of snow and 200 bucks. Not a bad Saturday.

I work part time at the community center. I was supposed to work this morning and they closed for nothing.Kids are even more pissed…taking them to practice when we all throught it would be cancelled.

I don't know why everyone is already calling it off for Raleigh? I am very confident the HRRR is not gonna be accurate for our area, and that it's making up dry slots that won't ever exist. I trust TWC radar more

I mean I don't trust the HRRR past about hr 2, either, and it has been slowly filling in. 2-4" is still very possibly here, maybe more. I believe.

The ratios are so ridiculous I don't see why that area can't get something when it's all over.
Gonna need some wind gusts to pick up and blow some snow over here to make up for what’s not falling from the sky.
Not gonna lie, I've lived here for 15 years now and can't remember more than 1 or 2 times it's snowed like this. This is something I was used to seeing living in New England.
