why is BeanSkip reporting me? I am not attacking anyone...just discussing models and giving my thought on where I live.
I really wish we could start blocking people and those people couldn't read our posts. Just block me if you don't like what I have to say.

Looks like RDU's big dog drought will continue as the dry slot claims another. It's either a warm nose or a dry slot every time.

Every model is showing its biases. Just have to know what they are to see through the smoke. I would hate to be a forecaster right now. Crazy outputs being shown.
Totally agree! Nobody knows at this point. ULL's are so hard to model. I've seen it so many times over the years.
Look at Cold Rain's former casa in SE Wake racking up nearly 9". That's how you know this map is complete crap

UK has been clueless this whole time, but YIKES. That's literally an egg over MBY.UKMET was a little flatter and weaker from what I saw.
The other side to that coin is that models are better now and unlikely to unanimously miss that badly.

There will be a lot of really happy people and a lot of extremely frustrated people after this storm, and this is pretty common with ULL storms. Just make sure to not take your anger out on other people on this board, not a cool thing to do!

I think we've realized that it's never easy around here. Just when it seemed there was decent consensus, things start falling apart. Fun and frustrating. I have a love/hate relationship with this hobby.

Well, this makes sense. Raleigh has struggled for almost a decade to see a good snow storm. Do we add this one to the long list of Ls?

I wonder what trends and surprises we will see over the next 54 hours of model watching? Then you know this type of system will have some surprises when it actually unfolds.

Can anyone shed some light about the dry slot just south of Augusta? Snow east and west of us... just south doesn't look great and it's cutting back on our totals. That has me a bit worried... all models are showing it...

It's been 9 years since I've seen 6"+ from a storm so it'd be nice again. Last 3"+ was 2022.
Well well well…it seems we have another impossible forecast.
No doubt! There will be more surprises to come.
2017 was the last time I had over 2". The last 9 years haven't been kind.
Another aspect to think about is the continued drought through central NC. This storm as modeled earlier would have provided beneficial moisture. It looks like the saying "drought begets drought" continues on.

I think Raleigh is good if the coastal goes where it's supposed to and bombs.
Starting to think @Rain Cold forgot to lower the snow shields before he moved out west..

Ah yes, the good ol snowfall contest. I’m about to display my horrible skills once again…. Thanks to those that put it together. I will say, maybe should've added a little more Green to the mix, Greenville, SC and Greensboro, NC. Hope all of them are looking like Greenland come Sunday.
