I just want to say that I have been a pretty silent follower of this forum for many winters now. I have grown to hate the fact that I want it to snow so bad that I torture myself pretty much mid Dec-Feb, following and checking models multiple times a day and 99% of the time they never work into favor. This is so exhausting and I am so envious of the folks who really don’t care if it snows or not. 
Vote in my poll for hi-tech research purposes:
What happens when Columbia gets a big night snow but Mitch doesn’t see it bc he was in bed by 6:15pm?

Sharp cut off tonight with the rain where your at. Getting hammered up here. Kinda reminds me of the crusher in Jan 2000 when I got a just a couple of flurries early that morning and I watched the snow line literally just miles from me down the road all day long to my south and east stay in the same spot and not move a inch all day and you guys got crushed with near a foot. Still kills me to this day and have nightmares about those radar images. I wonder if Twister was lurking anywhere around in those days?

Watching the vorticity map on a good phasing system is a thing of beauty, but I’ll take boring overrunning any day. Waiting on a perfect phase is so hit or miss.

Ha we were supposed to get 1-2 inches and had the biggest snow day in 14 years haha. It was like the perfect storm here honestly. Wasn't really cold or windy and still overperformed

We better cash in the next 10 days because I’m seeing some warm temps creep into the forecast in Late January.
Over 5 inches of rain here and still raining.

This is realistic Brick. You know, how NC State fans should be about their men's basketball program.
It wasn't too many years ago where we had a western trough every single winter for the majority of the winter for a few years straight it seemed
