Freezing Rain, Sleet, Snow, Rain...Kitchen Sink (12/15-16)

I drove from Durham all the way back to Atlanta today along 85, and this is what I can confirm.

North and west of this blue line had a .05 to .1 glaze. Also one thing of note, the top 200' of the Crowders mountain range southwest of Charlotte also had a solid glaze, at least .1"

Can't imagine what 4-5 inch per hour snowrates look like....has to be a wall of snow coming down. Most I've seen is 2-3" per hour during the Jan 2011 storm.

I always wonder why we can't get those type of snowrates down here in the South considering we're even closer to a deeper moisture source.

Man, I want this! ?

Honestly feels like we’re never seeing it like this ever again, it’s been 2 ------------- years since Ive seen snow completely cover grass blades, I’m pissed ! Every good pattern we get provides for somewhere that’s not the southeast
