With this setup, more WAA means more precip, though. So not all bad.

925s are cooling down now, I think once we get precip over us, the CAD that's been building in will help a ton. 
Yeah for sure. It's really coming down now. Legit moderate snow with respectable flakes.

Precip is really starting to get going Between Columbia and Fayetteville, not a surprise given the fronto going on.
Dallas getting Lake effect snow again.... in the low to mid teens.

Starting to see a line of moisture developing right around here per radar. Its a little more apparent on the loop

Probably doesn’t matter, but definitely wasn’t expecting to see reports of flurries out of Wake at this juncture.

Radar loop I posted above shows precip kind of stacking up against that boundary
Looks at isobars buckling north along SE coast, about to close off just off Ga coast, should be where our coastal really gets going. Maybe again I'm wishing but it appears to be developing a little closer to the coast and to my eye radar looks to have precip developing a little further west as a result?

Two snows for Chattanooga Tn. in one winter? I forgot that could happen! Also, Huntsville is getting a little thump right now. Interesting....
The 06z GFS is truly going down with the ship. 4-5” of snow in the Triangle on the run, consistent with basically every run over the last two days. No one can tell me it’s wrong. It’s the new King. 
Raleigh is dead to me. System to MY west and y’all are getting snow a thousand miles to my NE. SHAME
Couple of sleet pellets mixing in with the rain near Sandy Springs north of ATL. Impressive given it’s 41 degrees

The snow flurry reports in Wake County have caught me off guard a little bit being this early. I haven't seen anything yet in Cary where I work but I will be looking out the window in my office. I hope this event will exceed expectations which are rather low compared to what we were watching on the models earlier this week.

I will be riding the GFS until the wheels fall off! It has been persistent with its forecast and if it validates I will attend the coronation of the new king.The 06z GFS is truly going down with the ship. 4-5” of snow in the Triangle on the run, consistent with basically every run over the last two days. I took my last forecast to a butcher and now this is my final call. CAMs are clearly trending a drier storm.
Too dry. The snow in Lenoir, Wilkesboro is pixie dust. This won’t accumulate to half an inch. Lucky to get a dusting before temps rise above freezing later today.
