Wintry Feb. 19-20

And its not frozen baby powder like that mess in Jan I can actually visually see the flakes in your photo
Yeah for sure. It's really coming down now. Legit moderate snow with respectable flakes.

Looks at isobars buckling north along SE coast, about to close off just off Ga coast, should be where our coastal really gets going. Maybe again I'm wishing but it appears to be developing a little closer to the coast and to my eye radar looks to have precip developing a little further west as a result?

The snow flurry reports in Wake County have caught me off guard a little bit being this early. I haven't seen anything yet in Cary where I work but I will be looking out the window in my office. I hope this event will exceed expectations which are rather low compared to what we were watching on the models earlier this week.

The 06z GFS is truly going down with the ship. 4-5” of snow in the Triangle on the run, consistent with basically every run over the last two days. No one can tell me it’s wrong. It’s the new King. 🤴
I will be riding the GFS until the wheels fall off! It has been persistent with its forecast and if it validates I will attend the coronation of the new king.
