Dropping temps and still this to go through ? Maybe we aren’t cooked ?

Im sure someone posted... but man HRRR is it fired up about tomm... the 12Z has it from hour 23 - 28 From roughly Asheville up to VA and barely moves out of Meck/Cabarrus/Rowan by hr 28

HRRR shows it making it, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down, been filling in actually
You should see the ground. I mean dirt. It’s more of a graupel snow but it’s hammering

After yesterday’s meso model runs I am pleasantly surprised watching it snow here. 10/10

Really awesome snow in Winston Salem.
And done here it looks like looking at the radar. Total 1.7" not too shabby. Maybe the ULL adds another half an inch tonight we shall see.

Going out with a bang. I don’t have a measurement but might actually be 2 inches.
Still coming down here around Lake Lynn. Pingers have held off so far. Hoping for a bit more of pure snow and falling temps.
@superjames1992 and @RBR71 both mentioned how long it's been since we had a daytime event around these parts. I usually prefer nighttime snow to maximize accumulation, but I admit it's refreshing to see the snow globe and white blanket on the ground. Also nice not having to turn on the outside lights to see the flakes fall.

It’s coming @Myfrotho704_ . I burnt a couple boxes in my firepit so this band should be juiced by the time it gets to you
Def have a warm nose alot and a decent cold layer below it. It's "snow" here but it's more like ice puffs, I bet my ratios will be like 3 or 4:1

I have gotten more in Youngsville currently than the first snow we had!! It is coming down so good and the roads are becoming white

Got some sticking on the paved surfaces in shaded areas now. Have to think if it was late afternoon or evening we’d have a lot more stickage on roads. Got to be past a half inch now but I haven’t measured. Hammering.

Madison, AL, we got right at 2" (totally unexpected, as NWS was calling for 0.5"). The roads were just fine, though, so it's a regular workday for most people. It's melting, but really pretty!
Yikes, that’s pretty far north, no?

Yeah, the area between say NC 24 and US 74 is gonna a good bit of ice out to the sounds.
