So, here's a bit of a story with one of our cats that happened this month.

I can't talk about this story without some context first, and I'm pretty sure I've talked about this some here before. There's a house one house down from us that has been abandoned for about a decade. The owner used to have a lot of cats and when they left they did not take them. So, we had at least 20+ cats roaming around for a while then.

But that's not the point of the story. Our gray cat became pregnant sometime last month. She decided that her place to birth her kittens was going to be in that house (one of the locks on that house that was put on by the city does not work and sometimes you have homeless people break in there for a place to sleep so the door is "openable"). So she got stuck there for two weeks, and this is before it dropped to reasonable temperatures. We had given up on her showing back up, then with my dad's walk by the house, he heard her meow. He wasn't sure about it, then he heard it the second time. So, he thought that she had been hit by a car and was injured in the bushes, but when he turned to look...

He saw her in the window.

This was a surprise that we didn't expect. Dad then broke open that door that is openable and she came right out. Other than being a little skittish to start, she's turned out to be fine. Not long after, dad saw what he thought to be "strange kittens" and then when he saw her carrying one of her kittens around he said "wait...". After a minute, he put two and two together and said something that I actually theorized, that she used that house for the birth of her kittens.

So, the adult cat managed to live for two weeks in a place that really probably wasn't even habitable for animals and was able to nurse kittens for that time period to the point where 3 of what was probably 4 kittens survived.

Context: My mom does not like the idea of indoor pets. Me and my dad would like them but 1 shoots down 2.
You write like 20 times better than the next best writer on here...

might as well just use this thread for everything now if u feel like forecasting talking totals tropics November talking in the future spin spin head swirl weather wipe your ass do it all here now I won’t be in those 2

The earliest I can recall flurries in Chattanooga is around Nov 15 or so.. seen it a couple of times, once in the 1990s, and another time in 2014 I believe. Never seen accumulating snow in the valley in November in my 30 plus years living here. There was that wild storm of Nov 1950, but my dad wasn't even born yet.

I have seen snow falling twice in October while living here (Chattanooga). There was actually a fairly strong snow shower that lasted about 5-10 minutes while I was in class in the morning I believe On 10-30 sometime between 2006-2008. We had a huge glass window in the back of the class and I watched it happen. It was snowing hard enough to stick if it wasn’t in the upper 30’s... and October, and lasted longer lol. Another time I don’t remember as well but I know it was a year that cataloochee ski resort opened very early on Oct. 19th. So it flurried briefly on the 18th I would guess of that year. Might have been 2010. Who knows though my memory sucks lol.

Now that I think about it, I remember that. Rare as hell though. I do remember one time hiking in late October on Big Frog Mt (extreme southeast tn) and walking up into an ice storm above 3000 ft. Just cold rain at the trail head.. Was a neat experience. Love my east TN mountains...

So I'm still having a time with this email hack and Amazon account take over! I've sent Amazon my picture ID (again with DL# and DOB redacted as they requested) and they still haven't removed the two step process. I've called them 4 times, each time the conversation begins the same way "well because you set up a two step process we can't access your account" and I have to remind them, look at your notes.... I didn't set that up I was hacked! Yesterday the guy says the two step process would be removed before the day was out or by this morning at the latest....... still nothing.

Oh and a new wrinkle, I received an email stating Amazon refunded me for a recent purchase, reason? Never received the item.... well guess what I did receive the items, whoever has access to my account somehow did a refund and per the email it was placed on a Amazon gift card to be used on the next purchase. So while Amazon twiddles their thumbs and can't figure out how to give me access back somebody is burning them. How stupid is this?!

Are you related to coreytucker?

Greenville County Sheriff Will Lewis sentenced to 1 year in State prison. I’m sure he deserves every bit of that

Well Amazon finally telling me they are seeing suspicious activity on my account (duh) and have frozen the account while they investigate. Once someone scammed them out of a few dollars, they escalated the issue.... Lol. Also made contact with Venmo and had my email released from that fraudulent account, so hopefully close to this stuff being resolved. Has me thinking long and hard about some identity theft protection though

It’s worth it, my wife and I froze our SS and use LifeLock. It’s been great.
