Awesome more rain coming

This map explains many things to a perfect pattern also, got that WC ridging/AK ridging which spills artic air right in the US (-EPO/+PNA) and a strong but parked Aleutian low to “pump” the -EPO, -EPO allows strong cross polar flow, that’s just 1 part of the puzzle to a perfect pattern, you then got a nice Atlantic pattern with a -NAO/ridging into Greenland with a low beginning to bomb out near Atlantic Canada, which will then wave break and cause a “cutoff ridge into Greenland” all this dumps a strong trough into the eastern US, the cold is there from the -EPO, the flow is slowed by the -NAO, so the trough has an opportunity to go -tilt on top of us, and forms a very strong low which gives the SE something major/historical, the combination of the -EPO/-NAO pushes the TPV into eastern Canada, so we got a nice area of CAA, and there is my dream pattern, lol

If that article about mjo being stuck in 5 and 6 posted is right it will be destroyed in the south.

It didn't say stuck in them but instead spending more time in them than before. And that doesn't mean every winter, either. There have been and should still be in the future some winters with not so many days in 4 and 5.
Regardless, thanks for originally linking the forum to this article as I would otherwise not know anything about this and wouldn't have done my own follow-up research to confirm it.

No problem. Yeah I took it as being stuck in comparison to what we are used to.
