I'd hate to be a TV met making fun of people complaining about missing out on storms 45 days ago only to see D1 drought making an appearance in my forecast area. I guess we all have bubble?

Good to see that big time D is back!

People say the offense is in 2015 form all the time if they play one good game, but this defense has been scary so far this year, that defense is back in that form, our DL is scary, our secondary is beastly, tre Boston really helps out, Reid is good, our defense is set, if we can utilize our weapons on offense consistently, than the playoffs is definitely possible, our play calling tho is mediocre

The Braves/Cardinals series should be a pretty competitive series; their is not a lot of separation between those two teams. I wouldn't be surprised if this series went either way.

Go Cards!

I honestly think the Cards win the series. They have historically had much more success in the playoffs than the Braves have.

Atlanta was able to rest some guys so hopefully that figures into the equation. You want to be Hot Hot heading into October and the Braves aren’t far removed from that heater they went on earlier this month. I will also say that it doesn’t always pay to clinch early. They’ve got to find some of that momentum again

If as good as they can be its Braves have the better position players, Cardinals have the better pitching staff. Outside Yadi, Wong, Martinez, and Wainwright, it's also basically a team getting a first taste as well and not like past teams. So, the only thing we have to fear as Braves fans in the forum is devil magic.

All I know is the Cardinals are going to win the series if the first two are split. For some reason the Falcons suck juice has been penetrating the Braves on Sundays even before the Braves were playing effectively meaningless games. Game 3 is Sunday.

as a second thought, Folty vs Flaherty on game 2 has potential to be amazing this Friday.

edit: well it might not be Flaherty then. Mikolas game 1, Hudson game 2 possibly, hmm.

I'm probably the only person here who wants no rain till after thanksgiving. Bone dry is fine by me. My local reporting station almost broke all time rainfall records 3 out of the last 4 years. I'm good with dry during the hunting season.

Yeah you're probably right. We need rain at least here. Everything looks bad. As I've said, the weeds in the yard are crispy and dead. The trees are definitely dropping due to drought. We've lost our rainfall excess here due to the dry weather.

Yeah we have some leaf dropping. We had a few inches from Dorian but nothing since. I welcome it this time of year. No mosquitoes and no dragging deer theough ankle deep water.

You don’t want a wet grassy weedy ground before winter weather. Dry drought is better for accumulation.

Hopefully the Braves are due to beat the Cardinals. It should be a good series though. I will be at Friday's game with my Dad.
I'm hoping it's a good one. The Cardinals are always tough so it should be interesting.

Was supposed to have 40% chance of storms this afternoon with wedge front, blah, blah, blah, AFD update removed any chances of precip outside the mountains!! We fooking rock!!

4 more days of 90 or above and we are #1 in Atlanta. The following winter were awesome. Who can’t forget winter of 2012 and 2017. Epic winters!!!

Boy the outflow from everyone else's storms felt good at least. Will finish September without a drop of rain. Pic to prove it. Straight desert. Screenshot_20190930-184948_Gallery.jpg

The MLB regular season story in the NL this year was about how you can't judge a book by the start outside of the Dodgers. Nationals had a horrible start and went on to win 93 games, Braves had a fairly non-descript start and then turned it on June 1st, Cardinals the same with a non-descript start, turned it on after the break.

Then you have the Phillies tailing off hard (and I'll admit that McCutchen gave them more than expected, his loss was apparently a huge blow all around), the Rockies being mediocre but they fell off a cliff, and then the Pirates seemed like they'd be an issue...however they crashed hard and had all those locker room issues.
