Pattern Failboat February

It’s a big dog pattern with the block showing up and amplified trough diving down. Might see some crazy solutions with the wave cutting off and delivering feet of digital snow. Biggest challenge imo is the vortex in SE Canada and timing that right. It has had a tendency the last several years to scoot out faster then modeled. We need to close here for a suppressive solution

Yeh we back. Let’s prepare the rage one more time before we head off to Spring.

Euro already picking up on the system. With the strong block being picked up, gotta think that a lot of people on the board can included on this threat.

Problem is I don’t think we are headed to spring after this. Indian Ocean forcing becomes a western ridge/cutoff printer/SE Canada vortex printer into March. We probably aren’t done here even with how pessimistic I am right now.

Wouldn't it be great if we could start out with a 4 inch mean over us like VA does? Why do we always have to start so paltry and hope to see incremental increases?

That day I'm heading to Gatlinburg TN for a weekend trip though. Not sure if that would help me or not, but like to see some type of potential that weekend. At least it'll feel like the mountains.
 
I’m seriously happy about cold! I know I’m too far south for more snow unless a miracle occurs… I’ve seen snow twice this year… but I have 3 new sweaters that need wearing at least 1 more time!!! Bring the cold!!!♥️

We had a 4-6”+ mean for the January storm on the EPS and got 1”. 😢

I strongly support cold this time year. We have plenty of time in our backyards for the warministas to get theirs. In February, give me some cold! Not that I don’t a mid-winter thaw of a few days, too. But I don’t want to torch for the rest of winter!

lol, at least we got something. Let's get a 12 inch mean and we'll get 2 inches!!

It's just annoying as a weenie we never START a threat off in the blues on the ensembles. We always need to wait closer in to hope they trend south.

Just a little more latitude seems to do the trick this Winter.
 
Considering how beautiful the large-scale pattern looks.. it's a little annoying that the snow means are as low as they are and the deterministic models aren't showing many hits.

Just have to hope that trends better in the next few days. At least the cold air will be here.
