I wouldn't be . there is no support from the gefs for an OP like solution. I expect it to go back to a Texas like solution then cut to the lakes. Hope I'm wrong

Ugh this is NOT what you want to see from the GFS tho...it will be impossible for it to say the same for 200 hours. Needed this snow threat to show up about 5 days from so we can lock it in within 48. On to the next one gonna go ahead and red flag it.

Lol yes it did. Like you mention above this idea doesn't have support from the other 0z global runs or the Ensembles. Guess we will see what 12z spits out at us.

The key to this is exactly what you mentioned. The energy has to come out so it's not cutoff out west and so it does not seperate from the northern stream . It's lights out of it gets left behind which seems like the likely option

there is actually more eps support for the general idea vs gefs . Neither of which is great but  at least it's something to keep us entertained for the next hour till the 12z rolls out

if your crossing everything you have for an 06z gfs like solution you don't want this which was the 00z run. If you see this starting to happen on the 12z run just close the computer

you wanna see something closer to this . This isn't great, but it's much better vs the above pic

It's about as far from bringing anything good, as can be! With the AO rising till atleast early January, we would have better luck hitting the lottery , than getting snow or ice in the South
