Wintry December 23-26 2022 Winter Weather and Cold

I suppose a solid dusting in Jasper. Maybe .25” (Sorry not very scenic pic!)
What makes it worse is that over here on Shop Rd, it was falling. But it wasn't even snow, it was sleet. We can't even get snow. Lol We got about 7 sleet pellets.
and the fact that it was a nice healthy band

Turned out to be between 3/4" and 1" up here. No measuring tape or ruler but I can estimate by the thickness of what's accumulated on the deck rail

Well, I got the roofs and bare patches covered with a dusting of sleet, so that ain't bad for a clipper. And made possible by a few nights of brutal cold. Let's have a repeat, only much more vigorous next time.
I ended up with a nice dusting, not bad considering my expectation beforehand was nothing.? Hopefully this is an encouraging sign for something more significant to come in the latter half of January.

Few things warm my heart more than to see some on this board getting more snow this winter (so far) than much of the NE US Megalopolis.

Well, so ends the Big Cold of Dec 2022. Congratulations to everyone who saw snow the past few days! West of the Apps is still the place to be for snow. Even though I did not get any snow, I've very much enjoyed the cold. Here's to looking ahead a few weeks to our next shot!
Unfortunate us east of the mountains couldn’t cash in but we will get ours at some point this year. Congrats to everyone out west!

The map tells the tale. Other than the isolated showers last night, East of the Apps have been blanked. Hopefully we'll have some shots later on.
