Lol on TT the GFS is printing out 22" for the far northern upstate.

At 126 it's still snowing in NC with that secondary energy.
Those maps east of Rah are completely bogus, most of that is cold rain or a mix... and this is my sounding for almost the entire event, so close. Hey @Rain Cold I just need 2 mb stronger HP Lol
I think we know something when we get within 36-48 hours. Lol. This is what make winter weather fun. Trying to figure all the models out and trying to predict what’s going to happen.

Solid 5 to 10 inches across Wake, and that's with the Kuchera map.
If I were chasing, I'd probably go to VA just to be on the safe side. Probably Wytheville area.

Good run for NC. Should just about do it for most of GA/AL with the ULL not panning out. Still it’s a good thing that we had to watch this up to a few days out. Plenty of winter for other opportunities.

Verbatim that would probably be a VERY heavy wet snow since the upper level temps are at or below 0C and only the last few hundred feet are above freezing. Realistically you'd probably be 33-34 at the surface IMO.

This might be a very realistic map for at least upstate sc. does a good job showing who sees snow and who doesn’t
I'm all in on 90% of that being sleet so 1-3" of ice pellets
