Wow, the NAM is really blowing up tonight. Even the Euro has 3 inches here. Talk about an encore. That would be a huge surprise. I just want to see some more snow so my office will close tomorrow. Supposed to go in at 12, which is useless. I think we could get a couple more inches out of it, and it the NAM is going bonkers with this.

Let’s see if the FV3 everyone likes trends a little colder tonight...I believe it had some snow bursts with all that moisture too..but focused further west

mPING showing reports out of the Atlanta Metro of some winter weather with that growing batch of moisture.

Weather Models have shortened my life, and will continue to tonight, no sleep and constant stress

RGEM likes foothills to CLT. Has narrow band of heavy precip but to warm for places further east.

Hrrr shows rain in clt yet sounding supports wet snow

WRAL acting like tomorrow will just be spotty snow showers. Of course, they had me getting 1 to 2 inches of snow a couple days ago.

Reel it in! The rich seem to be getting richer, the SREF mean which did decently today overall has another 3" on its mean for Wake tomorrow, and 2" tomorrow in Charlotte. It was definitely strange having the same forecast as WRAL for the Triangle leading into this storm which obviously busted big time on my end in northern Wake. I guess I should have known something would manage to go awry when I was aligned w/ them lol.

They did up it to 4 to 6. Just ended up about twice as much.

Not sure if I buy the holes over the foothills...if there is prior snow on the ground then the skip on the snow maps usually prove false. Idk why, just how it happens. If there wasn’t snow on the ground it would certainly skip-a-roo-doo-doo
