Wintry Dec 8-10th Winter Storm

Ended up with 8", a new single storm record for me. It truly is a majestic winter wonderland out there. I do feel for everyone who missed out I have been there so many times. At least we know we have an outstanding opportunity to get several more!

Where u at?

Need a Blizzard Warning for northern foothills. Actual 2 feet totals soon with wind will bury vehicles

Tree limbs hanging low under weight of this heavy wet snow, little concerned when winds really get cranking later.

Is it? I'm not disappointed about what I got. Im beyond bitter about the fact in a 30 mile gradient you go from 0-8 and im on the 0 side again

I would really like to understand the synoptic scale condition that places our exact area on the dividing line 75% of the time. Why can’t the conditions of the storm, whatever they are, move the line 20 miles south. Ever?

Wow. Last night was pretty intense across Central Alabama. A wake low/gravity wave along with saturated ground caused a lot of tree damage. It was some of the most intense wind I have seen in a long time. Literally listened to limbs and trees falling and hitting stuff most of the night.

Even though we only saw 2.5-3 in liberty sc. I agree the fv3 performed very very well sure the kuchero map shewed 6-8 inches but add all that sleet and 2.5 to 3 about right

Im not sure whats going on, but all of a sudden Early December has become the best time of year for big snows in the south.
