Wintry Dec 27 Light winter event

Here's the final snow & sleet accumulation map for the event earlier today. North-central coastal plain and northern tidewater regions were the big winners with up to a dusting of snow (~0.2-0.3") likely occurring in the jackpot areas. An intriguing area of sct'd snow flurries developed over the southwestern piedmont later in the morning just east-northeast of Charlotte so I also made note of that and included it in the map

Nice map but just a touch to far NW as it actually shows me in it and I got zilch. The dividing line in Halifax Co. Is about 10 miles too far NW I think

Ah okay, yea I tried to keep it within a couple miles of Roanoke Rapids and looked at radar to gauge where the NW edge is, I'll definitely make a minor SE adjustment from Wake county & points NE.

Yeah my location is a little misleading, I'm actually about 6 miles south of RR and just west of I-95, center of the county...

I think the map you posted on Twitter is spot on
