Still nothing just to your northwest. That pocket on Myfro’s radar image should be over me in a few minutes. Maybe it can produce something
Heaviest of the day by far. Still mostly sleet but the flakes mixing in are getting bigger. Actually starting to see some build up in the eves of the roof

Is their place still off Hwy 178?
Mountain resorts have been able to make a lot of snow the last week. Webcams looking good up @ sugar. Looks like they were able to get Oma’s meadow opened. It was just grass about a week ago.

(He said "f this" plus it's getting dark)..
Here on the ICW, I can smell it, but "no see yet".. (Precip), Virga? Evaporation cooling in the Atmosphere? As @Webberweather53 indicted? (diabatically-induced differential temperature advection/frontogenesis enhancement of precipitation.)???
Maybe a "burst" surprise in store this evening?

Moderate sleet here
Once again here too. I’ve been seeing sleet of varying intensity for over 5 hours now… if it had just been about 3 degrees colder I would probably have a whitened ground. Even still there’s white on the eves of the roofs and little bit on the mulch

There was wintry precip falling virtually all day here around the upstate. Nothing to show for but I’ll take it. I love the sound of pingers on the dry leaves. Bone chilling today with all that moisture in the air.

Throwing these obs into the mix from today:
-- Had about 5 minutes of sleet here at the house (NE Forsyth Cty, Ga.) around 6 a.m.
-- Played golf in Hayesville, N.C. and had some snow flurries around 1 p.m. (that was a first for me on the golf course).
-- Drove through a brief snow flurry shower between Hayesville and Hiawassee, Ga., around 1:45 p.m.
Everybody stay warm and safe this weekend.

Temps in the Mid-Lower, 40's..
31% Dews & Humidity of (roughly) 60~70%.. Producing *Wintery Mix(s)*?
I'm observing and seeing (reports), of a rough line between what I'm hearing between Columbus County to ILM to Maple Hill/Jacksonville..
(I know It CAN SNOW) at 50F.. fascinating on that paper.. but...
Anyhow, those that ARE getting confirmed OBS get out & enjoy it!

Legitimate snow shower right now and my temp has dropped to 34. TWC app say to expect snow for the next 3 hours.
Let’s see some pics I’d kill to remember what a snowflake looked like

Looking at the radar… it’s the strangest thing. Everything was moving west to east down to my south, but then in the last hour started expanding north.

For those in the southern portion of the state it appears the precipitation could last 3 to 4 hours. It wants to inch it’s way north towards me in the Raleigh Durham area but even if it does it would be short lived. At least for now.

Here's my preliminary snow map for yesterday's trace/snow sleet event in South Carolina. Hoping to also get NC's done tonight.
I did something different this time; instead of showing just the total amount of snow/sleet, because it was the same nearly everywhere (a trace), I depicted the reported precipitation type at each location.
IP = Ice Pellets.
SN = Snow
