Pretty classic look for backside snow showers with the way the vort looks on the icon.
Anomalous cold core moving through, some snow showers definite possibility
Weird run, TPV is more tucked in but the energy in western Canada is way weaker….
It's still not a bad run tbh it's not going to be feet of snow for us but something similar to the icon seems likely
and 540 line sitting at NC/Va border

It honestly looks like the TPV is separating but just later in the run.
Looks a bit like the ICON.
It almost looks like it’s still going to separate, the process is just taking longer? I agree weird look
Vortex so much more stronger than just 6 hours ago.. yeah chances are going to happen over the next week.

It looks like the GFS starts consolidated, but eventually separates as done previously.

Yea I was watching surface instead of H5, waiting for the pink shades to show up next frame or 2. Instead squashed is what happened lol.
On to the ukmet
Certainly is close to the “first snowflakes seen in the flood lights look” with the low levels being close via wet bulb. but DGZs are dry. 
Starting to dive now. Let's see what happens.

Not only that the TPV is further south vs 18z with ridging building in faster for the vort on the backside. We may end up getting another incoming but just starts differently
This is interesting.
