Studies are showing this will be like the flu IRT immunity so far, with slightly different strains every year, but there seems little chance that this virus is going to go away anytime soon, best case IMO is it slowly weakens over time to something like the weaker flu strains and then every year they will develop a vaccine that will help limit it some...and like the flu there will be the stronger less common strains that are stronger and more dangerous and will be responsible for the majority of deaths year to year.....basically we have added another slightly nastier than the flu bug to the system we have to deal with every year. The study below explains why there have been a few unlucky folks to already have Covid twice....and also why herd immunity is not going to happen.....at least not lasting effective herd immunity.
The study by King's College London, the first COVID-19 study of its kind, is the latest to cast doubt over the concept of so-called herd immunity.

no antibodies were detected after just a few months, throwing doubt on hopes for a long-lasting vaccine. "
