We need urgent prayer for Big Frosty (Rodney).

He and his wife both contracted COVID about a month ago and he cleared it after a brief hospitalization and was back at work. Unfortunately, the side effects came back last night with blood clots in the lung and pneumonia. He is hospitalized today but not in ICU.

Rodney asked that he will appreciate prayer from everyone for a quick recovery.

There is no one else that has a higher level of interest in winter weather and knows his local climatology the way Big Frosty does.

To all, thank you for taking the time to be prayer warriors. It is gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for passing this along. Think he has had some previous health issues. Hes been on the boards from easternwx onward. I will definitely lift him up in prayer. Hes so fun to pick with everytime we think we have a miller A/coastal getting ready to score while we model chase
. It'll show Mount Airy 0.00 qpf and at the last second the nw trend kicks in and he jackpots. Please keep us informed if anything changes.

Ive been working round clock since this whole thing started in a packout facility. Flown, took out of state road trips,church,beach,golf,ball games every Saturday. Wal mart to many times to count. Live with 2 teachers.
Using safe practices, common sense does the trick. Havent been inside my 81yr old dads house maybe twice the whole time. Take care of all his yard work. And he stays up on the porch while im 20 feet out in yard. Hour on the phones everyday. He's been to my house twice to eat. Turkey day he'll be over. I respect any virus but dont fear it,let it controll me living life. What works for me and my family may not be whats best for someone in South Dakota or Raleigh. Amazing how far common sense will take you. There is no 100% way to guranteeing you want catch covid or any virus unkess you totally isolate your self and All interactions with the outside world. Thats just not possible with having tobget to grocery store,work
 
My mom and brother just got tested for Covid. Talked to her and they have the mild flu symptoms and just feel like yuck.

Edit to add this interesting fact. The Doctor told her that there is three or so different strains going around and her symptoms are textbook to the strain that is most common and mild.

Of all the people I know who have had it, my brother in law is the only one that had shortness of breathe which interestingly enough was the tell tale symptom when this started.

Update on Big Frosty Rodney:

He is on an antibiotic and steroids and has not slipped since Friday but it still dealing with pneumonia and blood clotting issues in his lungs. A big blessing is that he is avoiding needing ICU so things are headed in the right direction.

Prayer and support is powerful and he sincerely appreciates continued prayers for healing and restoration.

You show posotive up to 3 months after initial contracting. They dont even test football players after they come out of quarentine for 3 months for this reason. Your not contagious, test just picks up on least bit of leftover traces.
 
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I’m going to be dealing with these blood clots for months (if nothing goes wrong) blood thinners is the only way to dissolve them, they said I’ll be on blood thinners for 6-12 months. But first before I can get out of the hospital they have to get this pneumonia under control with the correct anabiotic. So thank you all again!

According to the CDC, it is up to her doctors to determine when to be released from quarantine. She is still quarantined and is being tested weekly.
