I was scheduled to travel to Canada first week of April but my company has banned international travel . How stupid , so I can’t go to Canada but I can fly through two of the biggest international airports in the world next week , Atlanta and Chicago . What a joke

Family vacation in 15 days . Going on a Disney cruise and before anyone asks no , we are not canceling it or postponing it

Sucks you booked before the coronavirus started spreading. You probably could have got a good discount. I saw a poll the other day where 60% of people said they wouldn’t even go on a FREE cruise right now smh

Shoot, call them up and tell them you are worried about the virus. They may give you a good discount. That is what I told my coworker to do. He has a cruise set in December.

80% chance it gets canceled. If not, hope you plan to stay onboard for an extra couple of weeks.

Really probably only a fraction of all infected. Like I said a week ago, when you are having this many tourists bring it back to their home country, Italy is covered. For instance if you take 5500 cases and Italy has a population of 60,000,000, that is a 1 in 11,000 chance you would meet someone with the virus. There could be a 100k or more cases there.

I highly doubt it , if they banned cruises for two months it would absolutely cripple the cruise industry . They are not going to do that especially on closed loop cruises leaving the US . Disney sent out an email saying the will check temps on all passengers and people that have been to the main five countries in the last 20 days can’t board


If it does get canceled oh well . we bought trip insurance long before this all started so we will either get the money back or reschedule for the summer

The alternative plan is either go to Disney world that week or go to the beach since we are flying into Orlando .

@Storm5, I am in BHM too and probably on the same Disney cruise with you during spring break. We are considering postponing until summer. Not that worried about this medically, but don’t want to chance a 2 week quarantine.
 
Amazing how effective this hits the elderly. One one side we have Italy with its mess, on the other SK with 7000+ confirmed cases, 46 deaths and only 36 serious/critical and Germany with 800 confirmed, 0 deaths and 2 critical.
 
Hope these estimates are way overdone. I know they are worst case scenario but man that would be horrific.

I said this on another political forum, but it's 50/50 IMO that both Sanders and Biden make it to the convention. I know that sounds bad, but it's going to be hard for them to not be exposed, given all of the travel and campaigning. And Sanders has heart issues

Very much trying to stay away from politics (publicly) ... and hopefully this is not "political" ... the thought that has run through my brain is what happens if neither can weather the storm? Who steps in, or back in?
