This (what I bolded). Further to this:

"It’s easy to see how such extreme forms of tribalism make it impossible for productive political thought/dialogue to occur. If people are simply parroting their tribe’s viewpoints, they aren’t researching/analyzing the issues for themselves. And if neither side can even consider the possibility that the other side might have something valuable to say, mutual understanding and compromise become impossible. This results in political systems in which little to nothing gets done and everyone distrusts the hell out of each other."
The above blames the people, laying out a scenario where the political system is the victim. But the truth is actually the opposite.

Tribalism is the result of the compounding effect of years of lying, disinformation, silencing, collusion, divisiveness, blatant criminal behavior, and general insanity from political leadership, along with an agenda-driven media, which have worked together to make the population feel less important, less safe, less able to achieve success, less financially stable and generally less free. The resulting disenfranchisement forces people to abandon objectivity and choose a side, which usually falls along the lines of their default political ideology.

People are ultimately responsible for their own actions, so we all share some of the blame. But years of poor and corrupt leadership has built the structure of tribalism brick by brick. And instead of recognizing it for what it is, we gladly moved in.

I’ll probably watch part 2 of president In exile. What it basically talks about is President Trump being the president in exile.

Knock yourself out, I've got better things to do. Like dig a hole and fill it back in to see if the shrinking of the moon prevents me from having enough dirt.

You really would do better to abandon such idiocy.

So what happens when you consider the other sides opinion and come to the conclusion that your ideas are just better? Compromise for the sake of compromise doesn't get you a better solution
