I'm sure they don't want rain or wind either. Maybe we should all pull for sunny and 70 day and night from now on. No one is allowed to want rain this Spring or summer if it gets dry. What about all the homeless across the country? We need to stop wanting seasonal changes because average heat and cold weather will affect them too. Again, what we want has NO bearing on what happens. There are ALWAYS people that are going to he negatively affected by all types weather. People have always had to adjust to weather changes and always will.

I understand that but someone pulling for -5° Deathly cold Just because it would be historic and fun Is Beyond lost their minds!!

That's just like telling someone to jump their car off a bridge just so you could watch it fly

She is a terrible mod. But it's no real loss. I checked there yesterday and they had maybe one post an hour on the pattern thread.

Not at all. Weather doesn't hear us say anything or do anything we want. Weather does what it will. People aren't mean or cruel or whatever for wanting a certain type of weather. That would be like saying someone who expresses they wish it was summer already (so they can go to the beach) is wishing death on all those people who will die between now and then, since they are wishing time away. We have no influence on time and wishing it was a certain time or season or era is simply an expression of interests. It is not a selfish desire to discredit others and it certainly has no effect on what happens.

Can kicking? I don't understand this one.

What are we kicking? The timeframe has been the same for days. Cold comes in just after New Years. Big system the first weekend of January into early next week. And then the window for the South emerges shortly after & literally last for days on end. There has been no shift at all in the timeframe unless people were completely full send or all in on the 5th-7th risk.

Literally after this timeframe, we get a window that last the entire rest of the run from what I see. Just my take here but I just feel like the term can kicking is on autopilot when really it shouldn't be used here.
 
It's nearly 90 degrees in Texas right now(pretty much as hot as it gets in December) and the Euro has them getting more snow than me in the next 2 weeks 🤣

There's literally no way for the entire south to get blanked in the 2nd week of January. Someone will get snow.
