Got moved into the new house yesterday. Going from 2309 Sq ft to 1600 was fun. But we have a 1600 partially finished basement, so it may work out. Unpacking sucks but it's better than packing.

I can't remember the last time we had a below average temperature... Even this front right now and it's mid 70s is still above normal and we still may be well into the 80s Monday and Tuesday

We've always had to see 384 hr GFS maps in winter, but this year I can already tell we're going to get flooded with 584 hr CFS maps

But it makes sense because we can't even get fantasy snow at 384 on the GFS anymore so I guess we have to look at the 600 hr CFS to see snow

Actually right next to Glen Alpine. Morganton address, though. I made sure to get on the west side of town to be on the correct side of the r/s line!

I have friends out there and it's real nice and close to Lake James. I have a close friend whos father preaches at new perspectives community church if you want to check that out.

Brown Mountain is not too far from that area. It’s worth a short drive. Jeep Jam went up there one time. They have an 11 mile off road trail.

My wife and I enjoy both the drive in and boat in camping at Lake James. Hope they can bounce back after the flood, haven't heard much about the damage there.
