Misc Cold Season Complaining

The actual biggest issue at this time range (IMO) is that people are already declaring something an event when they should still be pattern watching. The declared event could become two events, no events, or an entirely different looking event that could set the table or destroy the table for following events. It's the pattern and only the pattern that should be watched in the D7-10 range.
Where's the fun in that? haha

But if you are gonna abide by that rule, you gotta like what's being shown right now.

I do, but I do think it's also possible our best opportunity could be just beyond this one . As always, just going to have to have some good fortune no matter what to get everything to line up but at least there are opportunities with favorable MJO forcing in a period that we all know can produce a big one if we get lucky.

To be fair I did run out of Zoloft last week .... Switched insurances and Im afraid to call it in. Ive been off for about a week....Youre spot on....UP N DOWN UP N DOWN daily :D
Not a good idea to stop taking SSRIs cold turkey. Hope you get that squared away. I can't imagine any insurance not covering that one. Prolly could even just find a discount card or have a pharmacy find one for ya.

This place is a joke at times. Same troll stirring the geography pot, same people canceling winter/done with it, etc, same people complaining about members discussing long range potential (it's a weather forum for Pete's sake), same people basically saying I told you so, let me quote myself to remind you all I was right, same bs from same people over and over and over.

You were saying…

He's not in that. I'm barely in that. Late Feb is usually more favorable for NC, not SC.

Nothing is favorable anymore for anyone lol
Rain Stevo, rain! That's what we'll get. There is a reason Feb is Charlotte's snowiest month and GSPs is January. The later you go into Feb the more of a disadvantage we're in down here. Maybe NC will finally get theirs. That's where most posters are and where most of the optimism is coming from.

I'm sorry I just saw this at another forum and I had to post it. This is 'Ji' speaking to another member.

You guys act like you’re from the Carolinas just taking any snow that shows up on the models
New England thinks of us the way we think of NC

Yea I second this. You'd be surprised how much discount cards will reduce prescription costs on meds like this.

Virginia is in the Southeast. Just like Chicago is in the Midwest. It doesn't have to make geographic sense. These terms have cultural and historical precedence.

And no, Maryland isn't in the Southeast. It's north of the Mason-Dixon line which is a significant factor in these discussions. (despite it being established many years ago)

(edit---turns out Maryland is south of the Mason-Dixon line---Rats 🤷‍♂️)

I'm pretty sure Maryland is South of the Mason-Dixon line.

I looked it up and you're correct. Line was surveyed in 1760s. Good point btw.

I'll amend my point by stating the modern cultural demarcation line between the north/south is based on civil war boundaries. I was born in VA, and spent significant time there despite living most of my life in north cackalacki. Outside of the DC metro, I feel most consider themselves in the South (and therefore the SE).

Ji is one of the worst winter weather weenies. The epitome of a weenie who takes things too far. He gives all the MA crew a bad name.

I could be mixing him up with another member on this, but I want to say he used to come into other region’s subforums back in the EasternWx days to talk ----, too.

Maryland and Delaware are complicated cases, though, since even though they did not secede, they were still slave states at the civil war’s onset. I generally agree they aren’t Southern, but at the same time the eastern shore is surely more “Southern” than a lot of northern Virginia.
