Misc Cold Season Complaining

This storm smells a lot like 2/13/14. That storm kinda drove me crazy. We for like 1.5 inches of snow, .5 inch sleet, and .3 inches of ZR. Such a sloppy mess.
 
I believe we're going to be in a favorable pattern but believe nothing in the details. Again the old rules, 7 days and under to focus on a potential storm, and then under 5 (or even 4) for the details, if there is model consensus.

I certainly hope we connect on this hail Mary. If not it doesn't look good. Everyone focused on this event and not speaking about the long range. I'm looking ahead to see if there are more chances after I screw this one up. After the 25th the ensembles show the retrograde and by months end we're above average. MJO headed unfavorable this really looks like now or never.

I agree. Winter is most likely over in 10 days.

I believe this one is the best shot you've got. Might as well go all in.

I can't complain. 3 threats (1 minor, 1 meh, 1 TBD), cold December and January, I can't ask for much more. February can February and I'll turn the page to outdoor stuff. No complaints here.

I don't know man. After 2 years of nothing 0.5 just don't cut it. Average is around 5 inches at the airport and probably slightly more up here. If we were to end this way I'm definitely not satisfied.

yeah I've never satisfied lol, but for a SE winter....comparative to what we've had the last several years, it's been great IMO. Especially if this upcoming system delivers even a moderate event, I wouldn't know how not to give this winter high marks.

Absolutely if we can get a decent accumulation and even reach 50% of average along with the cold it'll be a great winter.
 
The weenie in me can’t take this. Some historic stuff could unfold and I feel a lot of us are playing with house money. I’ll be prepping starting Thursday if these runs continue

You're about as well positioned geographically for the state of Alabama as there can be for winter weather.

By the way, hazel green sounds more like a color in a 64-box of crayolas 😀
 
Seeing wintry precip in my area on the models 7 days out is always stressful cause the eventual heartbreak is inevitable and I’ll be looking at rain out my window next week

Yep, if we're going to do this like how we used to back in my teens and early college years, we're going to be running up a ton of pages on the late January threat.

I honestly can see it as when I see the overall pattern, it looks very similar to 2014.
