Do people just not learn? Or do they really prefer to have pretty snow maps at 200 hours over a white yard at verification? Like what is not clicking? We go through the same things everytime. NW trend will get us 95% of the time. Suppression 5%.
Already temp issues showing on icon but what would I know

Because this is on the leading edge of the cold front at the beginning of the pattern. Not the targeted 22nd onward

North Central FL track and ots or bust. It shafts most of NC when we snow here.

It's funny actually because even a week ago the GFS said we'd miss the snow again
and we had 2 winters in a row already to Little Rock or Nashville Nobody expected 6 inches here. Even when I went out at sunset Thursday I didn't

Some folks will let a storm that was an exceptionally low shot skew their feelings the rest of winter.

I'm pretty bummed and think we're going to be dry through this next cold snap. Hope I'm wrong but it just isn't giving me good vibes right now.
Cold press won't be so extreme, I think many people have a good chance. My enthusiasm, even looking at yesterday's 12z euro for mby is tempered by the wrong time of the year for us.
Plus the ensemble means are starting to show the idea of the higher chances away from me, lol. Those crappy Stormvista maps count all frozen as snow, so even those ensemble means aren't snowy down here, aside from a couple skewing members.
Your area will probably be fine.
